ANCHORAGE – Last updated at 6:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 26Anchorage police say Charlie Fahl was found around 5 p.m. and is safe. “Charlie Fahl was found safe this evening thanks to an alert citizen who had received APD’s Nixle notification,” police said in an update. Police said the citizen saw Fahl at New Sagaya City Market on West 13th Avenue after getting the Nixle and recognized him. “Fahl had wandered about five miles to the downtown destination after going missing in the Goose Lake area around noon today,” police said. Police issued a Nixle alert for 77-year-old Charlie Fahl, who was last seen walking in the Goose Lake area around noon. Fahl is about 5 feet 7 inches tall, according to police, and weighs roughly 145 pounds. He has blonde hair and hazel eyes and was last seen wearing a rust-colored down jacket, olive colored pants, black shoes and a multi-colored hat with ear flaps. Fahl also wears glasses and hearing aids, police noted. A Silver Alert issued by the Alaska Department of Public Safety stated that Fahl was wearing a Fitbit with his name and phone number on it. Anyone with information on Fahl’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 907-786-8900.2
