Everbridge acquires technology innovator CloudFloor
Today brings exciting news for Everbridge! As of today, Everbridge has officially acquired the innovative cloud solutions company CloudFloor. This Boston-based technology company has pioneered the cloud management solutions market and developed tools that allow enterprises to manage and optimize their cloud infrastructures. “This acquisition is the first in Everbridge’s ten-year history, so it naturally had to be something truly special for us to make it,” said Jaime Ellertson, Everbridge CEO. The CloudFloor acquisition will enable Everbridge to deliver to our customers an even better incident notification solution, both now and in the future. Additionally, the new technology, people and geographic presence we are acquiring will enable us to extend our market and technology leadership beyond what was even imaginable just a few years ago. This combination of expertise presents some truly unique opportunities, as well as great benefits for Everbridge customers. First, CloudFloor’s technology allows web-based applications to remain extremely secure, as well as scaling to near infinite levels in real time. With the growth in frequency, scale, and scope of natural and man-made disasters, this capability becomes increasingly important. Furthermore, the resources CloudFloor brings to the table will strengthen Everbridge’s already sterling reputation and market leadership position. In addition to more than doubling the company’s engineering resources, the operating management team will see the addition of Jaime Ellertson as CEO, a serial entrepreneur with a history of success leading technology organizations. And finally, with operations on both North American coasts, Europe and Asia, Everbridge’s reach and delivery capabilities will expand across the globe. Needless to say, we are all very excited about the acquisition and the benefits it will bring to our customers. The industry is changing as technology evolves, and with CloudFloor joining the team, we are confident that we will continue to lead the way forward for the incident notification industry.
