Preparing for Winter Storm Stella

Up and down the east coast, the region is bracing for Winter Storm Stella on Tuesday, March 14th. The nor’easter is likely to produce the largest snowfall of the winter season, with heavy snow and strong winds with gusts of up to 50 mph. Residents from Virginia to Maine are preparing for the worst–whiteout conditions, potential power outages, immovable snow piles and more. Already, the New York Public School system has closed school for Tuesday, the City of Philadelphia has declared a snow emergency, and communities throughout New England are ready for some seriously severe weather. Everbridge will be tracking Winter Storm Stella as a high priority event, and we will be providing extra support and services to our clients to ensure your ability to effectively manage incidents and communicate effectively throughout the course  of the storm. Clients can utilize our Emergency Live Operator phone line, where a representative will assist you in sending an emergency notification if needed. And, if you live in a community served by Everbridge, this is a great time to sign up for emergency alerts. For example, in Oneonta, NY, you can text SNOWTOW to 888777 to opt-in. Meanwhile in Smithfield, RI, public safety officials are encouraging sign-ups and registration via https://local.nixle.com/register/. Corporations, hospitals and universities are also proactively reaching out to their employees, travelers and partners via Everbridge to provide updates and actionable tips for staying safe and productive. For all of our friends, partners and clients preparing for the worst of the storm, we are here to help keep your people safe and your business running!  Always remember that our Everbridge Support Center is available 24×7 – details on how to reach us can be found here: https://www.everbridge.com/customer-support/ Stay safe tomorrow!
