[Webinar preview] Clery Act: Improving emergency notification processes
Lack of compliance with the Clery Act can result in hefty fines for colleges and universities. In 2016, a major institution was hit with a $2.4 million dollar fine for not meeting one of the requirements. While not limited to just communication, the Act does have very strict requirements for timely warnings and emergency notifications that must be met in order to avoid financial consequences. For many educational institutions, it can be a rather daunting task to to tackle, especially without an example to follow or any advice or direction from other schools that have already taken the steps to ensure they are in compliance with the Clery Act. Whether your institution is in the process of becoming Clery Act compliant, or you’re simply trying to figure out how to bolster your current communication procedures to be more effective and comprehensive, Everbridge is here to help. Everbridge has partnered with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to bring you a special webinar focused around how to ensure your institution is in compliance with the emergency notification aspect of the Clery Act. Join us on September 12 at 11am Pacific/2pm Eastern to hear our speakers discuss Clery Act emergency notification requirement processes and how MIT implemented a system to meet and exceed these requirements. Expect the speakers to discuss the following:
