Everbridge Supports National Preparedness Month

Emergency Notification Leader Promotes Emergency Preparedness and Continuity Planning in the Workplace

LOS ANGELES, CA – September 23, 2009 – Everbridge, the world’s recognized leader in incident notification systems, today announced the company’s participation in the sixth annual National Preparedness Month (NPM) Coalition. Sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Ready Campaign, NPM is a nationwide effort held each September designed to increase awareness about emergency preparedness.

A 2009 NPM Coalition Member, Everbridge is sharing emergency preparedness and planning best practices and information with the business continuity/disaster recovery (BC/DR) community. For example, with health officials bracing for a resurgence of the H1N1 swine flu virus this fall, Everbridge is encouraging organizations to develop a comprehensive pandemic communication plan by issuing a free white paper, “Message Maps: Blueprints for Pandemic Preparedness.” The white paper, which features the Chandler Message Mapping Model—developed by internationally recognized pandemic communication expert Dr. Robert Chandler—is available online at

“As the leading provider of emergency notification systems, we recognize that communication sustainability is essential to business continuity,” said Cinta Putra, Chief Executive Officer for Everbridge. “We are pleased to participate in National Preparedness Month to help reinforce the importance of emergency preparedness and offer our pandemic and crisis communication resources as a service to BC/DR and emergency management professionals.”
