Jackson State University Implements Everbridge to Strengthen Campus Safety
University Reinforces All-Hazards Approach to Emergency Preparedness with Multi-Tiered Mass Notification Service
LOS ANGELES, CA and JACKSON, MS – September 29, 2009 – Everbridge, the world’s recognized leader in incident notification systems, systems, today announced that Jackson State University has implemented the Everbridge Aware for Campus Alerts emergency notification system (ENS) to communicate vital information campus wide to students, faculty and staff before, during and after hazardous events—including acts of violence, dangerous weather, natural disasters, and public health emergencies such as the H1N1 (swine flu) outbreak.

In addition to implementing the Everbridge emergency notification system, the University has adopted a comprehensive multi-modal notification strategy that includes use of alarm systems, call boxes, loudspeakers and electronic messaging/digital signage to maintain a safe and secure campus environment.
