Safeware Adds Everbridge to Its Portfolio
Glendale, Calif. – Aug. 14, 2013 – Safeware, a recognized provider of safety products and technical support to clients in the government, industrial, military, and response markets, recently partnered with Everbridge, the leading provider of critical communications solutions, to bolster its portfolio. As part of the agreement, public entities can now acquire Everbridge through U.S. Communities, the leading national government purchasing cooperative.
For more than 30 years, Safeware has simplified the purchasing process for numerous public and nonprofit organizations. Going forward, Safeware will offer Everbridge to its customers as a value-added reseller, streamlining the procurement process for public entities.
“Safeware has always focused on one thing – protecting customers,” Safeware president Edward Simons said. “Today, we added critical communication to our portfolio of safety solutions to help us meet our long-term goals.”
To address the growing need for critical communication, Safeware is providing Everbridge under the U.S. Communities contract, which features more than 55,000 participating agencies. Everbridge ensures more organizations can avoid problems due to natural disasters or security threats, as the platform issues alerts coordinating response teams, initiates conference call briefings, and provides regular updates in both minor and life-threatening situations.
“To create a comprehensive emergency preparedness strategy, organizations need to bring together a variety of safety products and services. Thanks to the new partnership between Safeware and Everbridge, municipalities, state agencies, and other organizations can benefit from a world-class crisis communication system through their existing U.S. Communities contract,” said Gary Phillips, senior vice president of sales, Everbridge.
The U.S. Communities agreement makes it easier for public groups to use Safeware as a contract vehicle to obtain Everbridge. Launched in 1996, the U.S. Communities program is free for participants and yields a 5% savings on average for agencies that use it over traditional procurement options.
