We’ve used Everbridge to help us navigate critical events. Whenever we’ve had weather events that have affected our offices or some of our project and across the globe. Specifically last year with the hurricanes that were hitting in the southeast of the United States, we used Everbridge to give us a really good view of what offices are in the impact, to communicate out to our employees who are in the impact zones, and to determine which project sites we might have that would be impacted.
[00:40.5]
Using Everbridge has been really helpful for us with all of our travelers. We have a highly mobile workforce across the country and across the globe. So that really helps us feed in our traveler data, make sure that our people are safe. We’re able to notify them when they’re coming into a location or leaving a location.
[00:57.5]
It also helps us whenever we have, an actual event that’s happening message out as quickly as possible so that we can keep our people safe. I really enjoy the conference. Mostly the networking has been fantastic. Hearing how other companies are using the products. We actually use both Everbridge and BCIC, and so we’re really looking forward to the further integration of those two tools.
[01:19.0]
And so being able to network with people has been fantastic.
[00:07.2]
The way that Everbridge has helped us and changed the way we respond to critical events… I mean, when we would have a tornado or natural disaster heading to a certain area of the United States, we knew pretty well, where our assets were, our fixed locations. It was a very manual process to try to collect the information of who all sits at that office.
[00:28.8]
And even more difficult we’re trying to figure out who are all the travelers potentially in that affected area. So using Everbridge, the way that we use it, we ingest all of the traveler data. So within that one view on Everridge VCC, we can see all of our travelers, all their itineraries, and all of our assets and we know that this natural disaster is impacting this many people and we can communicate directly to them.
[00:55.5]
There was a time when Everridge has helped us navigate a crisis, we had last season, a hurricane season, right, blowing through Florida. We, needed to communicate directly to all of our employees and we worked with our business leaders there, who take care of our southeast region, communicated to them the importance of using the Everbridge app for our employees.
[01:16.9]
So what we did is with their guidance, with the permission, we sent a communication to all employees in the affected area of this hurricane path and we advised them or asked them to use the check in feature on the app. So that way we got all the results back from those who responded from the check in and then provided that to leadership and that was just a huge win for us.
[01:38.1]
So feedback from our employees about the app, especially during events like this, has been very positive. They really appreciate, this kind of personal touch. Otherwise they would have, I don’t know, they would have had to wait for a manager to email them or message them or text them or they would have made it for maybe no one to reach out to them.
[01:55.2]
Right. So the fact that we’re reaching out to them directly, they’re getting hit with a text message, a push notification, an email, they feel connected, they feel that people are in touch, they know about them, they’re aware of them, and that really, facilitates that communication and response to them.
