Challenge

Diebold Nixdorf needed a scalable way to protect employees and manage complex business continuity workflows during global crises and workplace disruptions.

Solution

Everbridge BC in the Cloud enabled Diebold Nixdorf to automate crisis workflows, support employee safety, and streamline business continuity processes with configurable, scalable workflows.

Everbridge was instrumental during the Ukraine invasion. We were able to use it daily for several months to ensure the safety of our employees.

We’ve used advanced workflows throughout B.C. in the cloud to help us manage situations and help us to continue to scale the product for the use that we had. For example, when we were doing our Return to Office program throughout Covid, we, we were able to build workflow so that the leadership team could request offices to reopen.

Our health and safety team and our security teams could provide the guidance that they needed based on the local regulations. And we had the approval process so our leadership knew when it was approved and they were safe to return to the office. And that was something that we built from the ground up using the inherent features within BC in the Cloud.

Because it has that flexibility to support the business that we have and the needs that we face when we’re dealing with crises. Similarly, we built other workflows around our, customer compliance and response process that we have. We’ve also done it within our change management.

We keep a change log throughout the life cycle of the tool so that we can track and have some historic documentation on the changes that we’re making and the enhancements that we built. So organizations that might be relying on older manual processes, I would try to influence them on the benefits and the value of having this technology behind them so that they’re able to really focus on the people and focus on the operations and not focus on the process in which they need to recover those.
