Leidos needed a faster, clearer way to turn open-source threat information into a single source of truth for emergency response, while also protecting mobile clinic routes and quickly assessing disruptions during events like the Spain power outages.

Everbridge has changed the way that we respond in more so the timeline. So if we get an alert, it’s way faster than if we were scraping open source feeds for ourselves.

It does it for us and kind of puts it into that one single pane of glass where we can see it and respond.

I would say all of the ways that you would do it without Everbridge and you think, ‘Oh, there’s got to be a better way to do this.’ Everbridge provides that.

They’ve thought through all of the workflows. They’ve thought through all of the what-ifs and they put it in one spot for you and they make it really clear.

So, in a time of emergency, you’re not wondering where you need to go. It’s very clear for you.

The way that Everbridge was marketed to our team, we use it for all of the main functions that were marketed to us. But a way that we use it differently is we

have mobile clinics that go around the country and we need to be able to make sure that we are enacting our duty to act duty to care for them.

So we’re able to put their routes in VCC and then geolocate any events that could come up and disrupt their their routes or you know be a threat to their safety.

Last year, I forget the exact time frame, when Spain had all of those power outages, the US version of the website was down. It was flooded with people going in and trying to access it.

Nothing was really loading, but Everbridge gave us the original source from Spain, and that’s the language I speak is Spanish.

So I was able to go through and through that, you know, pretty quickly find an accurate source that we could access and then translate

that to my team and discover impacts from there.
