Everbridge Aware® for Hospitals
More than 400 hospitals and the American Hospital Association rely on Everbridge for their emergency notification needs and to meet environment of care challenges requiring streamlined communication strategies, staff recall capabilities, and crisis management plans. From routine staff announcements to mass disaster callbacks, Everbridge quickly and efficiently delivers messages to one or thousands of recipients.
How Everbridge Helps Hospitals
- Faster incident response. Respond to mass-casualty and large-scale disasters more effectively. Launch a cluster of notifications tailored to separate teams for one event with a single action: distribute quota notifications for nurses, conference call bridges for executives, and polling notifications for bed control.
- Better emergency management and resource deployment. Notify and assemble trauma, hazmat, surgery, cath lab and other emergency teams more quickly using less resources. Recall doctors and nurses and other critical patient care staff. Survey responders for arrival times, allocate work assignments, and more.
- Improved employee protection and accountability. Keep employees out of harm's way by rapidly notifying them about severe weather, fires, gas leaks, and other incidents. Interactive polling enables you to account for and report on the whereabouts and safety of employees.
- Continuity of operations. Sustain critical communications internally and externally over prolonged periods to resolve and recover from the incident expeditiously.
- Greater situational awareness. Provide ongoing status updates as an incident progresses and is resolved. Include emergency plans, incident-related images, after-action report templates, and other important documentation as message attachments. Intelligent reporting enables informed decision-making, post-incident analysis and trending, and compliance.
- Stronger collaboration within and outside the organization. Organize briefings with crisis response teams, hospital administration, and local first-responder agencies throughout the course of an incident using on-the-fly conference calling. Coordinate resource-sharing efforts with neighboring hospitals.
- Communications compliance and reporting. Initiate immediate conference call briefings and alert key team members when regulatory and quality survey teams arrive on-site. Conduct quick and efficient callbacks, perform annual callback drills, and show evidence of staff training to meet Joint Commission reporting requirements. Satisfy compliance and reporting requirements through automated notifications, real-time confirmations, and extensive audit trail reporting.

Multi-hospital messaging
Communicate across a single hospital or an entire healthcare system. Each hospital can personalize the Everbridge system, manage employee information, build scenarios, and send messages independently while the healthcare system retains the ability to manage a single application across all hospitals.
Easy message creation
Whether you need to notify people in one department, a specific hospital, or across a healthcare system, Everbridge Aware enables you to communicate in minutes with a simple, three-step process. Capabilities such as email attachments for after-action report templates and evacuation routes give you the flexibility you need for all your incident communication needs.
Pre-written messages and scenarios
Build scenarios and create messages for anticipated situations or incidents, such as code reds and STEMI alerts, in advance for simple one-click sending. Set up one or multiple concurrent broadcast scenarios with pre-defined contact lists and messages for rapid response and recovery.
Effortless data management. An emergency notification platform is only effective if it contains accurate, up-to-date employee information. Import and maintain updated employee contact information easily with the Everbridge Data Migration Wizard and automatic data uploads from your payroll/HR software via our APIs.
Real-time tracking and reporting
Gain full visibility into system usage and broadcasts results. Everbridge Aware assembles broadcast data in real-time to display compiled results in a clear, easy-to-read dashboard for quick and informed decision-making.
