Chief of Meteorology
Caitlyn Gillespie is Chief of Meteorology at Everbridge, where she leads the company’s weather intelligence strategy and serves as its senior weather expert. She helps customers better understand, prepare for, and respond to weather-related risks through tailored forecasts, risk briefings, and expert guidance that translates complex atmospheric data into clear operational insight.
She works closely with security, resilience, and travel risk teams to support informed decision-making before and during high-impact events, with a focus on enabling continuity, safety, and effective real-time response.
Having previously led the State Meteorology Unit and State Warning Point at the Florida Division of Emergency Management, where she worked alongside the State Emergency Response Team and supported high-impact decision-making during some of the most active hurricane seasons on record, as well as historic Gulf Coast winter storms. Her background also includes operational radar meteorology, real-time decision support, training and exercises, and integrating weather guidance into workflows for government and private sector partners.
With a strong combination of meteorology and emergency management, Caitlyn is a recognized voice on weather risk and its growing impact on global operations and large-scale events.
