Challenge
Organizations responding to active shooter incidents and other critical events struggled with disconnected systems and inconsistent information, making it harder to coordinate response and make informed decisions.
Solution
Everbridge provides a centralized source of trusted intelligence and emergency communications, delivering location-specific alerts that help organizations respond faster and with greater confidence.

From the position that I hold, I get to analyze and assess other people’s tragedies, whether it’s before,
[00:14]
very seldomly during, but too often after. And I found that disjointed systems that don’t have accurate
[00:22]
intelligence going from one centralized location creates more chaos than the situation itself. And sometimes it makes
[00:30]
it more dangerous because when you’re on the flow, if you will, of an event and you’re on the edge of trying to either
[00:37]
solve it or survive it if it’s the unthinkable, you want intelligent information that comes from a single
[00:44]
source. So, everyone is getting a direct message, not one that they believe is correct.
[00:53]
I think the biggest benefit I’ve seen from users that use Everbridge is the quality of information that is both
[01:00]
ingested and digested. So when we read an alert during an emergency or even perhaps pre-event notification if I’m
[01:09]
traveling somewhere that’s uh high risk if you will, the intelligence and threat matrix information that comes through
[01:16]
helps me make more qualified and location specific directions and decisions. And although I’m pretty much
[01:23]
removed from that lifetime now, uh the people that I work with swear by it and uh I’ve watched it work for them in real time.
[01:32]
If I could give any advice, which I try not to because I want to speak factually, not um emotionally, but I will tell you from my experience, which
[01:40]
unfortunately isn’t critical incidents and all hazards.
[01:45]
When you work with disjointed systems or other systems purporting to have similar or adjacent notification mechanisms, you’re getting disjointed information.
[01:56]
And if somebody claims they have the all-in-one specific answer, I would encourage them to understand that not
[02:03]
even every platform has that. Some have very close to perfect and I would rank Everbridge as probably the number one within that system.
