Brian Toolan

Brian Toolan serves as Everbridge’s Vice President of Public Safety, overseeing the company’s public sector initiatives. He joined Everbridge in 2016 after a 25-year career in public service with the State of Connecticut.

Brian manages Everbridge’s major public sector implementations including the Alert Florida initiative, a statewide interoperable mass notification system made available by the Florida Division of Emergency Management to all public alerting jurisdictions in Florida at no cost. The Alert Florida program has seen tremendous success during Hurricanes Matthew, Irma and Michael as well as wildfires, missing persons and major local events. Brian has worked in the State EOC to assist the State with strategic public notification strategies and best practices. Brian also manages the Notify NYC system for the City of New York and all NYC Agencies.

Brian’s career highlights include the position of Operations Chief overseeing Statewide emergency operations across Connecticut, as well as serving as the Urban Search and Rescue Program Manager.
