I think the biggest thing for us at SNAP with Everbridge is it’s helpful when we can’t be everywhere at once. We have a lot of integrations right now with our travel, data, and it allows us to know where our travelers are without having to depend on, like, manual processes.
[00:24.6]
So, like, we can’t predict what’s going to happen, where our team members are, but we can, lean on Everbridge to keep us aware and allow us to act when something happens. I guess the best example I have right now is with the conflict that’s going on, in the Middle East.
[00:41.5]
We had travelers that were in active travel status when the conflict broke out. And so being able to know where their hotels were, where they were, when they were going to be, our travel data was able to be integrated into Everbridge. We were able to see them on the map. We were able to use communications to reach out to them and say, hey, I know that you are dealing with this now and you traditionally would not have been because you don’t live there.
[01:04.3]
But here’s how we can help you. Here’s how we can get you out of the region safely. We were able to use Everbridge for that.
[01:13.6]
So we are using Everbridge, currently just for our travelers and our team members, who are traditionally not in places where they would be. I did not realize that Everbridge had the Safe Corridor feature, which allows our travelers or our team members in their home to kind of feel protected when they’re away from home.
[01:36.5]
And so I actually tried it out and I thought it was really interesting. I, excused my mom for that until I found out that we have Everbridge. And so you can hit the button in the app and the feature turns on and allows you to set for, like, five minutes. So if I walk from my hotel to my meeting space and it takes me 10 minutes, I will select Safe Corridor.
[01:56.8]
I can walk there. Put in the pin and it says, okay, you made it safely. All good. If you are not safe, it will allow a, video to start and it’ll ping your location to our GSOC operators who can then start the process of getting you some, some help.
[02:13.5]
And so I really appreciate that. I had no idea it existed. And we are now rolling it out to all of our team.
[02:22.0]
If anyone who’s still using kind of manual systems, for their travel safety, for their security, I would say don’t. I know that a lot of, companies have that one person who’s been there a long time and they know everything related to corporate security. And on all of their systems.
[02:37.8]
That person could leave, and you lost your institutional knowledge. That person could be sick and that person’s not available. 24, 7 Everbridge is. And so I would say to anyone who is still using manual processes, there’s no need to do that. Everbridge exists.
[02:53.4]
Lean, on the resources, that are going to be more resilient to you than, say, a manual process or maybe even a group of team members. Everbridge makes my job easier because I know that my operators have been trained on the system.
[03:09.3]
They know how to use it. I don’t have to be awake 24, 7 to tell them what to do. We set up templates, we have procedures in place on when to communicate, thresholds on what to do when, what happens. And we have our system set up and so I don’t have to be around all the time, for the job to get done.
