Everbridge Appoints New Boston-based Chief Architect

Lexington, MA, December 18, 2014Everbridge, the worldwide leader in unified critical communications, today announced the appointment of Eric Golin, Ph.D, to the position of Chief Architect in the company’s Lexington, Massachusetts office. Dr. Golin, who previously served as Chief Technology Officer for Carbonite, brings more than 30 years of global technology leadership to his new role. Dr. Golin will be responsible for overseeing the technical architecture for all Everbridge products, as well as the vision and global scalability of innovative, SaaS-based applications for critical communications and collaboration.

Dr. Golin exemplifies the talented and experienced individuals that Everbridge continues to hire across all of the company’s global offices (including Boston, Los Angeles, London and Beijing). The company will continue to aggressively appoint new business, sales and engineering professionals throughout 2015.

Before joining Everbridge, Dr. Golin served as CTO of GenomeBridge, the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based subsidiary within the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. In this role, Golin oversaw a team of developers, helping the company build a platform for aggregating and analyzing genomic data on a global scale. Prior to this, Dr. Golin was CTO of Carbonite in Boston, where he led the architecture and design of next generation service architecture for Carbonite’s cloud storage and backup applications. He also served as CTO and VP of Engineering for Eons, and held various executive titles for web pioneer, BroadVision, including CTO and VP of Technology. At BroadVision, Dr. Golin was a key member of the original team and helped to oversee technology strategy for the company.
